Pushchair Repair/Service Technician

Duties & Responsibilities: The candidate’s duties and responsibilities will include the following: Diagnosing and repairing a number of different products in our ever expanding range; creating accurate technical reports for internal company use; creating and maintaining photographic files on all product repairs; booking in returned stock; assisting with stocktaking duties; assisting with reworks; general housekeeping;

There will also be times when the candidate will need to cover for other members of the technical team and warehouse with activities such as picking and packing; unloading shipping containers; packing sample stock for consumer shows and performing simple product QC inspections.

Candidate: The candidate must have the following: Good technical know-how; Successful organisational skills; Good time keeping; Flexibility; Ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team; Good problem solving skills. The candidate must also be a quick learner; be able to prioritise workloads and have a ‘can do’ attitude.

Physical Requirements: The candidate should expect to be on their feet for large periods of each working day; be able to lift up to 20Kg on a semi-regular basis; reach or work above shoulder height; be able to walk, stand, bend and twist intermittently throughout each working day.

Knowledge: It is essential that the candidate is technically minded and has experience of using basic hand tools. The candidate should have at least a basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and must have good written English skills. Knowledge of Microsoft NAV and CRM would be desirable but is not essential.

General skills / attributes: Good communication skills are required and being able to pick-up and follow instructions is a must. Multi-tasking will be needed at times and flexibility is important.
