At iCandy we understand that there are lots of factors to consider when it comes to buying a pushchair and whilst this may seem like a daunting challenge at first, we break down the pushchair jargon to ensure things are simple and straightforward, to help you make the best decision for you and your baby.
This got us thinking about all the other essentials when it comes to parenthood and how parents deserve the same no-nonsense approach for these purchases too.
What is iC Recommends?
So, we have developed iCandy Recommends – a completely impartial review service dedicated to providing expectant or new parents with advice and guidance on a range of nursery products and services.
How does iC Recommends work?
We supply the products and send them to reviewers (parents) to use and test over a two-week period.
By using real parents to test and use the products in their everyday lives this provides earnest, non-biased reviews that support families in purchasing items from the nursery sector.
Our reviewers document their experiences and complete a survey so we can capture honest feedback.
Who are the reviewers?
Reviewers apply to take part and are selected based on their suitability for the products, for instance weaning products will be reviewed by families who have started their weaning journey. With a wide range or products and categories, a new review panel is assigned to each category.
iC Recommends believes in real feedback from real parents is essential in order to provide authentic and genuine recommendations.
How are products scored?
Our review panel are asked to put products to the test for two weeks and score each product out of 5 according to key criteria: value for money, effectiveness and usability. Testers are also asked to share their first impressions of the product, if it made their life easier and would they recommend it. The product with the highest overall star rating receives the iC Recommends Gold award.

How can I get involved?

Yes of course, all of the products featured in iC Recommends are available to ‘shop now’ via the manufacturer’s website.
