Expert reviewers and testers Which? were given an exclusive first look at the new iCandy Peach which launched yesterday at Kind + Jugend- the international trade fair for premium baby and toddler products in Cologne, Germany.
The review was perfectly timed to hit the Which? website as soon as the new pushchair was unveiled to the world. With new luxury fabrics and unparalleled attention to detailing, we believe that our award-winning, iconic pushchair is more desirable than ever, but we were keen for an independent reviewer to take a look to provide even further reassurance for parents.
Describing the Peach updates as “an exciting new makeover”, Which? began by listing 5 things the reviewers love about the new pushchair. Top of their list was the “luxurious check” and “sophisticated densely-woven twill” fabrics closely followed by the “spacious and padded seat unit”. Which? also highlights the “updated carrycot” which includes the addition of rods into the apron fabric to provide extra protection for baby and they were particularly fond of the new Duo-Pod with its “plush soft-touch fleece” which “feels very luxurious”.
The matching Peach parenting bag also features in their top 5 - a luxury bowling style bag which comes complete with changing mat, insulated bottle holder and waterproof clutch bag inside. Finally, Which? was particularly impressed by the fact that the retail price of the Peach will not be increasing despite the enhancements.
An initial ‘summary’ gives an overview of the Which? verdict of the new Peach and it’s great to see that the list of pros given by Which? including ‘very large shopping basket’ and ‘one-hand recline’ greatly outweighs the list of cons.
The summary is followed by a ‘first look review’ which answers some fundamental questions:
- What is it?
- What’s it great at?
- What’s it like to push?
- Is the seat comfortable?
- Is it easy to fold and store?
- Is there anything else I should watch out for?
- Is there anything else I should know?
Which? then gives their ‘first look verdict’ and we are delighted by their initial feedback which includes comments such as "smarter than ever before" and "even more user-friendly features". A Which? strength and durability test will follow whereby the Peach will be put through its paces, including being wheeled over 206km of bumps. We’re confident its up to the challenge!
Which? also list all of the ‘tech specs’ of the pushchair which is a great quick glance tool to help parents decide which features are most important to them when it comes to purchasing a pushchair.
