The iCandy Father of the Year 2016
After the huge success of the 2015 ‘iCandy father of the year’ award, it felt natural that the accolade returns for 2016.In 2015, Fergal Campbell and his family were the lucky recipient of the inaugural award, in recognition of his brave fight against cancer and his duties as a father.
Moving forward, the award will now become an annual fixture on the iCandy calendar in order to celebrate the many great fathers around the world. Fathers can often be forgotten within the nursery industry, this award offers an opportunity to shine the spotlight on dads who make a massive difference to their families’ lives. The winning father will be awarded with the brand new iCandy MiChair as a prize, our first ever highchair which also grows with a child.
This award is open to the public to vote, and nominees will be chosen by the people closest to the many great dads out there. Anyone can nominate a worthy father, whether they are a relative, a friend of the family, or simply a witness to a great dad who has become a fantastic role model.

In up to 300 words please outline why you believe your selected candidate deserves to be crowned iCandy Father of the year 2016. You must leave your email address for contact purposes, successful nominees will then be contacted to confirm they are happy for their story to be shared and will be required to share a picture for voting purposes over Christmas.
In order to keep up with news on father of the year, we suggest that you follow us on our social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram… All announcements regarding the award will be featured on our newsfeeds.
What happens next?
Five nominees will be shortlisted for the award, and these will be selected on the 20th December by a panel comprising experts such as the Dad Network, iCandy CEO’s, and nursery professionals. The five successful nominees will then be featured on iCandy’s social media accounts and iC life, with their story open to the British public to read and vote for.
The public will then cast a vote for the candidate they think are most worthy of being named father of the year, this will be done on the iC life website via a multiple choice selection. Only the final five nominees will appear on iC Life and have their story shared in the public domain, this will allow the public to decide on their iCandy Father of the year for 2016.
Voting will close on Jan 31st 2017
Father of the Year prize
The person crowned father of the year 2016 will receive the brand new iCandy MiChair as a reward for winning the accolade. The iCandy MiChair is a stylish piece of design furniture which grows with a child, it will last towards the age of six. The iCandy MiChair is the latest innovation from our team of British designers, it will be launching later this month and has already attracted widespread critical acclaim such as a Red Dot Award. The iCandy MiChair is the perfect gift for a father, and will no doubt prove a popular addition the family household.
Along with this amazing prize, the winning father and his family will be offered the chance to collect the MiChair from iCandy World HQ, and treated to an all-expenses paid lunch with members of the iCandy team. The story of the winning father will also be featured on iC life, Pinterest, and the Dad Network.

Terms and Conditions:
Employees of iCandy World or their family members or anyone else connected in any way with the competition or helping to set up the competition shall not be permitted to enter the competition.
UK entrants only
Nominees and candidates must be over 16 years of age
There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
Closing date for nominations will be Midnight (12:00am) on Thursday 15th December 2016. After this date no further entries will be permitted.
iCandy World reserves the right to cancel or amend the award and these terms and conditions without notice. iCandy World will notify any changes to the competition to entrants as soon as possible.
No cash alternative to the prize will be offered. The prize is not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
The five nominees will be selected at random at 10:00am Wednesday 20th December 2016. We will require an image of the successful candidate in order to promote the award and their story on social media.
The nominators will be notified by email should they be successful. They will then need to provide contact details for their chosen father of the year.
Voting will commence from the 20th December, and will last until January 31st 2017.
iCandy World’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the award will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
