UK Junior National & Key Account Manager

Hybrid Role – Home/Field based throughout UK and Ireland with monthly visits to Head Office.

One year Fixed Term contract – Mat Leave cover

Reporting into the Head of Sales, the chosen candidate will be responsible for managing and growing sales within a portfolio of National and Key Accounts across UK and Ireland

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities are:

• Manage and Grow National and Key Accounts including Mamas & Papas, Very, FGH Group, Boots, M&S plus Key Independent Retailers
• Achieve sales targets and drive revenue growth within assigned accounts
• Develop and implement account-specific business plans, including promotional plans, pricing strategies and product launches
• Analyse account performance data and use insights to develop and implement action plans to improve sales and profitability
• Attend regular Retailer Account Meetings both alone and with Senior Management
• Review contracts and commercial terms with new and existing customers and present to iCandy Senior Management for approval
• Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure customer needs are met and product launches are successful
• Provide regular sales and market trend reports to senior management and other relevant stakeholders
• Prospect for new National and Independent Retailers within the territory
• Daily, Weekly and Monthly sales reporting
• Review new business leads and reporting back to senior management
• Day to day administration of the retail accounts including promotional planning, forecasting, back-order management and allocations of stock
• Merchandising support of an established network of national stores across UK and Ireland
• Attendance at Trade and Consumer Shows within UK and Europe as required

What are we looking for in a candidate:

• Minimum of 12 months proven track record of managing Key Accounts within the Nursery Sector
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities
• Commercially nimble and able to find solutions quickly
• Excellent communicator, negotiator and relationship builder
• Proactive and able to consistently work independently as well as part of a team
• Able to work well remotely and willing to travel through the territory as well as to Head Office
• Highly organised, able to meet deadlines, and able to provide clear sales feedback on their region
• Able to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment


• Good IT skills with a good level of knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
• Excellent communication skills
• Full driving license
• Able to start c1 September 2024
