"The set comes in a nice box and it's very well presented – it is nice to get a complete matching set (bowl and spoon) that doesn’t require further purchasing. The packaging is more environmentally friendly than most others as it can be easily recycled. The bowl and spoon on first impression look and feel great. They are both very sturdy and seem like they would be long lasting. The bowl is surprisingly light given its size and materials it is made from. The bowl has a large suction pad which should help to keep it in place during feeding."

"I liked the box that the bamboo bamboo bowl and spoon came in. It was a nice cardboard box that you can recycle and inside the box was eye-catching. It was presented nicely in the box and the spoon was placed next to the bowl in its own casing rather than hidden underneath making it clear what you're buying. The bowl has a nice weight to it but also isn't too heavy. It feels like it has been made really well and using top quality products. The suction on the bottom is a nice eye catching colour and the branding is very clear on the bowl."

"The set comes in lovely initial packaging which makes these bowls have a 'premium' feel. The design of the bowls is beautiful, along with it coming with a matching spoon makes for a complete set. Unfortunately the box doesn’t come with any real care instructions which I would have expected on the packaging of whether the item is dishwasher and microwave safe."

Did the bamboo bamboo set help your baby during feeding times?

"The bowl held a decent amount of food and remained firmly in place during the entire meal." - Ben
"The bamboo bamboo bowl was quite deep and my baby struggled to coordinate getting a spoon in. We found it easier to use the bowl with us and spoon feed him from it. As it is deep it can be quite difficult to tell how much you've put in it. The spoon also seemed rather large for my baby's mouth. The suction didn't stick very well to our highchair tray and my son did manage to throw it onto the floor on one occasion, however, it did stick very well to our kitchen worktop. I think it will be very useful when we start introducing cereals and muesli."

"The suction bowl set didn’t aid our feeding as much as some of the other bowls. We found it difficult to hold at times due to the round nature of the bowls. For our little 6 month old twins, we also found the spoon to be too big for their mouth and they wouldn’t take the food off of it because of this. The suction cup is incredibly useful to avoid mishaps, however, a groove somewhere on the outside of the bowl to help hold it would be really useful. These bowls are also not microwave and dishwasher safe which makes life just that bit more difficult when preparing food and cleaning up afterwards."

Would you recommend the bamboo bamboo Baby Suction Bowl and Matching Spoon Set?

If you are someone who is all about style and looks then this is the bowl set for you. However, functionally I think there are better bowls on the market and for that reason I wouldn't recommend this to another parent. If you have slightly larger babies this may be better suited but didn’t work for us.

I would recommend this set to another parent as it is extremely robust and very well made. Despite being slightly pricier than other bowls, the addition of a matching spoon makes up for that. The set looks and feels great and is extremely easy to clean. I particularly like the fact that the silicone elements of the spoon and bowl set can be removed and sterilised. The bowl is a great size and the suction pad works extremely well so there is no risk of the bowl being tipped over. This set would make a fantastic gift.

I wouldn't recommend this product. I think that it is quite pricey for what it is. I like that it is made from bamboo but this also means that it can't be used in a dishwasher and it also can't be microwaved. The suction wasn't the strongest and it made a huge noise when it had been thrown from the highchair. It also needs treating with coconut oil which could be quite time consuming for busy families. As the bowl is so deep, it would be hard to offer more than one thing in this and in our house would mostly be used for breakfast cereals/muesli rather than a meal.

Our reviewers were impressed with the recyclable packaging and overall appearance of this set, making it a perfect gift. The testers were unanimous in their view that this set is perhaps suited to older babies as everything felt a bit big for tiny hands and mouths. The fact the bamboo element is not microwave or dishwasher safe was also a downside for our busy families yet they were impressed with the value of the set overall.
