iCandy MiChair 2016+ Product Recall Notice
E11055, E11074 MANUFACTURED 2016/2017
iCandy has a long-established history of providing high quality and safety ensured products. We work tirelessly to ensure that all iCandy customers have peace of mind that they are always receiving the best possible products available within the nursery industry.
As part of iCandy’s continuous quality improvement programme, it has come to our attention that a very limited number of the early edition iCandy MiChairs no longer meet our standards. The iCandy Michairs affected (Batch numbers E11055 and E11074) have been found to potentially develop hairline cracks in the seat base over time.
As with all iCandy products, extensive testing above and beyond the requirements of safety standards, including user trials were carried out at the time of the iCandy MiChair’s 2016 launch. During the process of formal certification and due diligence, no fault was found with the highchair.
In the event you identify your iCandy MiChair by either:
- (A) Batch E11055 – This can be identified by a ‘08/16’ date sticker and five screw spaces in the metal plate on the underside of the iCandy MiChair.
- (B) Batch E11074 – This can be identified by a white rectangle sticker. The sticker should include the number E11074. This can be found on the underside of the iCandy MiChair.
Please immediately stop using the product and complete the online form using the link below.
The iCandy Customer Services Team will then require the following parts to be dismantled and boxed:
- The iCandy Michair white seat base (NOT the wooden back)
- The silver leg attachments that fix to the white seat base, with the footrest attached.
Please refer to the Product Support Page for the instructional manual and supporting videos to assist you with dismantling your iCandy Michair.
We will provide you with an iCandy case reference number, arrange collection of the relevant items from you and upon receipt and checking of the parts, will send replacements to you, within 7 working days.
iCandy Lime Wheels Upgrade
Customer feedback is extremely important to iCandy and is invaluable when it comes to enhancing the overall performance of our pushchairs in the pursuit of perfection.
It was brought to our attention that improvements could be made to the front wheels of the iCandy Lime pushchair in order to enhance manoeuvrability and ensure a seamlessly smooth ride for parent and child. In response to this and as part of our innovation promise and our refusal to accept limitation when it comes to style and design, iCandy’s team of dedicated designers have worked on developing the wheel mechanism for complete product satisfaction.
The new iCandy Lime Lifestyle front wheels (in black) are now available should you wish to upgrade completely free-of-charge. Simply click the button below to apply. To be eligible for the upgrade you will need to have the original Lime in either; Onyx, Cedar, Glacier, Mulberry, Turmeric, Stone and Lime, with the original Lime wheels in black, as shown below.
Peach 2018 bumper bar safety notice
It has recently been identified that a very limited number of iCandy Peach bumper bars are missing a plastic cap which results in there being a small hole in the bumper bar, visible at either side of the base of the hinge mechanism.
It should be noted that this hole is only visible when the bumper bar has been completely removed and levered back on one side.
There has been an extremely limited number of reports of this occurring since the Peach 2018’s commercially launch in March 2018, but as part of our duty of care to all our customers we are instructing all Peach users to check their bumper bars. This can be done quickly by removing and assessing the bumper bar, see video below for reference. Please ensure you inspect both ends of the bumper bar.
Please be assured if your Peach bumper bar has both caps in place there is no risk at a later date of an issue occurring.
As with all iCandy products, extensive testing above and beyond the requirements of safety standards, including user trials were carried out at the time of Peach 2018’s launch. During the process of formal certification and due diligence, no fault was found with the bumper bar.
In the event you identify any Peach model bumper bar that you feel may need to be replaced, please contact iCandy customers services on the follow;

Orange bumper bar safety initiative notice - January 2019
iCandy has a long-established history of providing high quality and safety ensured products. This reputation is of paramount importance to the brand to maintain, in order for all iCandy customers to have peace of mind that they are always receiving the best possible products available within the nursery industry.
As part of our ongoing product monitoring programme, it was identified that a few iCandy Orange bumper bars were missing a plastic cap which results in there being a small hole in the bumper bar, visible at the base of the hinge mechanism. It should be noted that this hole is only accessible when the bumper bar has been removed and levered back on one side. This relates specifically to the following batches: E11076, 11125, 11147, 11159, 11160 of the Orange 2017 pushchair.
As with all iCandy products, extensive testing above and beyond the requirements of safety standards, including user trials were carried out. During the process of formal certification and due diligence, no fault was found with the bumper bar.
Upon notification of a plastic cap missing, further risk assessments were carried out. Quality control checks were increased in production and a 100% inspection was carried out of stock held. Immediate changes to the design and manufacturing process of this component were made.
We would like to take this opportunity to request users to carry out a visible check of their product. This can be done quickly by removing and assessing the bumper bar, see images below for reference.
The safety and protection of all our customers and their families are central at iCandy and as such, it is our policy to act swiftly, even when the likelihood of an occurrence is extremely limited. iCandy will first and foremost always strive to protect, champion and prioritise safety and quality.
If required, a new bumper bar can be requested by telephoning customer services on +44 (0)1767 604400, Option 1, Customer Services. Alternatively, please complete the online form.
Important - Please Note: If at the time of checking the bumper bar both caps are in place, please be re-assured that it is not possible for them to become dislodged or detached at any point in the future.
The pushchair is safe to use without the bumper bar being fitted provided that the child is correctly secured within the 5 point safety harness. Customers needing to remove a carrycot from the pushchair chassis can do so by lifting the product using 2 hands, holding on to the main hubs that secure the carrycot into the chassis. Do not lift the carrycot by the hood as the product is not intended to be carried in this manner.
We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause to our customers. We take the safety of our products very seriously and our Technical Team continually review all products as part of our ongoing improvement initiative.
Replacement iCandy Buckle and Crotch Strap for the Peach 2016 and Designer Midnight Editions
As part of our on-going monitoring programme, we recently identified a very small number of iCandy buckles that have broken in use. This can result in the crotch strap coming away from the centre of the buckle. This relates specifically to the Peach 2016 model (batch E10799 to batch E10910) and the Peach Designer Collection Midnight Edition. We would like to stress that the waist and shoulder harness is not affected. It should also be noted that the likelihood of the buckle failing is extremely low.
When taking into consideration all of the information at our disposal, including reviewing all returns data, testing the products and also performing routine risk assessments, we have taken the decision to offer a replacement buckle and crotch strap to all customers that have products within the affected batch range. The replacement buckle is new and improved with added strength integrated into the part.
Please be advised that we made an immediate change to the buckles, (on all potentially affected pushchairs), to the double-looped version shown in the middle picture below but also made an immediate production change, to the new improved design, (shown below with a tick), so you may already have this.
We would like to provide all of our customers with our most up-to-date buckle, so please check the back of your buckle and contact us for an immediate replacement, should you have one of the older designs, (marked with a X), see the differences below.
Please locate the serial and batch numbers at the top of your box or on your basket frame as shown in the image below, prior to filling in your request form, as you will need this information. We have included a Video on where to locate this at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PifEeAbltCg
You will also find the batch and serial numbers on the base board, inside the seat unit, (you will find a velcro strip located at the rear and bottom of the seat). If you have had a replacement seat unit since purchasing your iCandy Peach, please check the base board inside your seat unit for the batch and serial number.
We would advise all customers to use the 5-point harness at all times when a child is in the seat unit and ensure that all harness straps are adjusted correctly to suit the age and size of the child.
