Simple and modern cutlery set designed to help introduce tiny hands to the idea of holding cutlery and feeding themselves.

What's on the box

The perfect spoon and fork for Ti-Nee hands! Our mini utensils help to introduce babies to the concept of holding utensils and feeding themselves. The soft silicone can also be chewed on and babies can practice dipping into foods and purees at the early part of baby-led weaning. The wide, chunky designed handle helps babies learning to feed themselves to have a good grip and helping them to have more control of picking up the food.

First impressions of the Ti-Nee Utensils

"On first impressions I wasnโ€™t too keen on the look of the Ti-Nee Utensils. The packaging is very basic and wasnโ€™t even sealed - not the most hygienic. There isnโ€™t any branding on packaging and wouldnโ€™t stand out against other cutlery sets considering [the price]. The colour of the utensils could be brighter and bolder to make them more appealing to little ones. I am intrigued to see how my son gets on with them and uses the different handles on offer. Having picked up the spoon, it doesnโ€™t seem like it will be the easiest of cutlery sets to use from an adults' perspective."

"First impressions, love how small they are. Ideal for those little hands. Nice shape for them to grasp and also the spoon and fork are a nice size and look easy for baby to control. I didn't like the plain clear plastic packaging they came in. No branding at all and also no branding on the cutlery. Only the outer delivery bag helped me identify which product this was. I like the little faces that they have on the back. They are a good weight for baby. Not too light and not too heavy, but also a good weight to help baby develop using cutlery."

- Lucy

"As with the Ti-Nee bowl, the utensils came in just a clear unbranded plastic bag which felt cheap. No information as to whether the spoons are dishwasher safe either. I found the design of these spoons a little perplexing to be honest as I wasnโ€™t sure what many of the features were for."

Did the Ti-Nee Utensils help your baby during feeding times?

Love these

"They have nice short handles on them making it easy for babies to grasp and control." - Lucy

Love these

"The size of these were good, however, thatโ€™s pretty much all that aided us at feed times. I found the handle difficult to hold and the ring that goes between the spoon and handle made it difficult to see where I was putting the spoon."

- Carson

"The Ti-Nee Utensils are a great size for small hands so it allowed my son to hold them easily for a while. They hold a perfect amount of food and the stopper stops the spoon from going too far into your babyโ€™s mouth. I found my son was very interested in the shape and texture of the spoon and fork and liked to hold it himself, which helped keep him engaged during the entire feeding process. Having larger hands meant that it was quite difficult to feed, especially when my son was trying to grab the spoon."

Would you recommend the Ti-Nee Utensils?

No

No, I just found this a really odd design, hard to hold, hard to feed the girls. I also didnโ€™t like the feel of the spoons and we think the girls also didnโ€™t like the texture on their tongues either.

- Carson

Yes

The cutlery set is harder than some others to hold, but great for little hands โ€“ they would be more beneficial for baby-led weaning/babies feeding themselves rather than adults spoon feeding. I found it harder to clear away the mess from around my sonโ€™s face as the cutlery set is quite small and the rubber stopper would often get in the way. They are also noticeably heavier than other cutlery sets. I would recommend these to parents who are opting for the baby-led weaning approach as I do think babies/children will love holding them and using them.

- Ben

Yes

I would definitely recommend these. They are nice and compact, easy to clean, a nice weight and easy for baby to grab and use. The design is great and baby can definitely start using these at the start of their weaning journey. The shape of the handle doesn't need them to coordinate too much, but also allows them to get the spoon into their mouths. The Ti-Nee cutlery is easy to clean. They have a cute little smiley face on the back too. The material is fantastic as it won't stain with regular use and will withstand any chewing. They are flexible and this really helped our baby.

iCandy Recommends

On first impressions, our review panel felt the packaging of the utensils could be improved and made more enticing, however they loved the modern look of the product itself. Whilst our testers felt the size of the utensils made them tricky for adults to hold, they were the perfect size for little hands learning to feed themselves and gaining more control of picking up their food. The round choke barrier for extra safety and the easy-clean silicone were a big hit too.
