First impressions of the Doidy Silicone Baby Bowl
"The Doidy Silicone Baby Bowl comes in a nice vibrant colour which instantly caught the attention of my son. It is definitely a lot more flexible than most other bowls on the market but the slanted design with one side more slightly raised than the other caught my attention and I was intrigued to see how this would work. The bowl has a large suction pad which looks like it will keep the bowl firmly in place. The packaging is well branded and informative and definitely stands out compared to other bowls, however ours was slightly damaged and therefore we would be unable to reuse it as suggested."

"First impressions are that it came in very clear packaging and you know what you're getting. It has a clear diagram at the bottom explaining the slant. I was a bit put off as it came in a plastic bag - it wasn't until I read the back and realised that this bag can also be used for storage and for when you're out and about. This makes it easy for travel. The packaging has everything you need on it. Explains how to clean, how it slants and how this helps. The branding is clear. The bowl is a good weight and not too heavy and came in a nice bright and bold blue colour with branding also on the bowl."

"The Doidy Silicone Baby Bowl came in a branded resealable bag but I thought the branding looked a bit cheap. The packaging contained useful information about how you can use the bowls and showed they were dishwasher and microwave safe. And also showed many of the other ergonomic features that the bowl has such as a deeper side one side vs the other to help babies to scoop food."

Did the Doidy Silicone Baby Bowl help your baby during feeding times?
Nice and deep
"The high sides - one slightly higher than the other - helped keep most of the food in the bowl even when my son was grabbing at it and sticking his spoon in." - Ben
"Our baby really didn't enjoy this bowl. He is still very new to weaning, but he wouldn't even put his hand into it and I'm not sure why. It is quite a large bowl and you can get loads in. I feel that it will really help him as he progresses. The slant on the bowl is a fantastic design and I wish we had something like this for our daughter. The suction on the bottom was fantastic and it didn't get thrown onto the floor from the highchair. This bowl is practical for babies learning to feed themselves and the slant definitely helps you scoop things out and stops food staying at the top of the bowl/plate."

"We found this bowl easy to use. As a result of it being microwave safe it was easy to help prepare food and easy to clean away once finished as we could pop it straight in the dishwasher. The ergonomic features that the packaging mentioned weren’t really of use for our 6 month old girls but it made the bowl quite easy for us to hold when feeding the girls. The silicone is quite flimsy though so I’d probably suggest making it just a little bit more rigid. The suction cup worked a treat too and helped to avoid any mishaps or spills."

Would you recommend the Doidy Silicone Baby Bowl?
No
No, I feel there are better bowls on the market. I think the branding and packaging felt cheap and whilst the product is functional, the overall finish on the Doidy Silicone Baby Bowl is probably the least refined of all bowls I have reviewed. When the girls get a bit older, this may change as the higher sides will help them when scooping food but for 6 month old’s at the start of our weaning journey, this isn’t a bowl I would recommend.

I like the fact that when my son is able to feed himself the slightly raised side of the bowl is designed to assist him in scooping the food towards himself. It was extremely easy to clean and is dishwasher safe. The bowl comes in a nice vibrant colour and definitely stands out. It was easy to pack away in a changing bag to be used when feeding on the go. The suction pad works well on lots of different surfaces.

I would definitely recommend this product to other parents. The suction was great and stuck to the highchair really well. It's a decent depth and width allowing you to plate up more than just one thing, making mealtimes more exciting for your little one. The slant is something I have never thought of before and I know that this will help us in our weaning journey. It will also see you through to when your baby is a toddler as my 3 year old was very interested in it and its design. Its nice, simple and easy to use.

Our testers were all intrigued by the slanted edge and liked its design concept to help encourage baby to push and scoop their food against the high-sided lip. The whole panel was impressed that the bowl was dishwasher and microwave safe and that the suction pad was effective, although they did feel that the silicone could have been sturdier.
