First impressions of the Doddle Baby Cutlery set

"The Doddl cutlery set is one of the better looking packaged cutlery sets Iโ€™ve come across. I like that you can see whatโ€™s included without opening the box and I like the fact that the packaging is sturdy and tamperproof. The colours used for the cutlery are striking and definitely catch your attention. The cutlery itself looks very child friendly and all the pieces in the set are a great size for a little one who is about to start weaning. I was impressed that the cutlery also came with a travel case, which is extremely handy for feeding on the go."

"When I first received these I was fascinated. I have never seen baby/childrens cutlery like this before. The packaging was eye-catching, colourful. It did come in non-recyclable plastic, which to me isn't ideal. I like the idea of the case to keep them in. The cutlery seems very sturdy and strong, has a good shape and also a good weight. They feel really light and easy to use. The colour on the sides is nice. The shape is different but I could understand how this would help my baby. The carry case is in a nice bold colour so there won't be any misplacing in a changing bag."

- Lucy

"The Doddl Baby Cutlery comes in nice packaging and when out of the packaging comes with a lovely storage container and clip. I thought this was a lovely touch, especially if you are active parents that like to be out and about, the clip is big enough to attach to a bag, belt or anything else. At first I thought the cutlery was actually a bit small but designed really nicely although the colours are a bit 'in your face'."

Did Doddl Baby Cutlery help your baby during feeding times?

Easy to hold

"At first I thought these spoons were a bit small especially when comparing them against the other spoons but actually they were the perfect size." - Carson

Easy to hold

"Our baby struggled with the shape of these and the fact they have no flex in them. It's a very different shape to anything I've seen before on children's cutlery. He struggled to hold them and was just more interested in chewing them with no food on. He constantly threw them onto the floor (which they have survived). I think this will be one to grow with and can understand how this will help him as he gets older. The spoon and fork aren't too big for him and he could easily fit the fork and spoon in his mouth but he still had plenty of the handle to hold onto. The weight seemed fine for him too and I know that this will help him with scooping food as he gets older."

"The cutlery made feeding extremely easy โ€“ the spoon size (I havenโ€™t needed to use the fork yet) is perfect for small mouths and allowed me to feed him a good amount of his food. He loved holding the spoon and fork and clearly they were light enough for him to hold as he kept hold of the fork during the whole meal. I particularly like the chunky handles which are perfect for small hands still learning to grip. The travel case was fantastic for when we were out and had to feed on the go โ€“ it gave me peace of mind that the cutlery had been kept clean and was handy for when we had finished feeding and the cutlery was dirty."

Would you recommend the Doddle Baby Cutlery set?

Yes

Yes, these were the best spoons for feeding our girls. Super easy to clean, nice to hold and fit in their mouths. The added storage container will also be really useful when we are fully out of lockdown again and we can start travelling.

Yes

I would recommend the Doddl cutlery set to another parent as even though they are slightly more expensive than other cutlery sets they do also include the travel case which is extremely useful and can clip on to anything i.e. your changing bag or buggy. They are a perfect size and shape for first time weaning and also help with developing your babyโ€™s control and coordination. The cutlery and case clean very easily in the dishwasher and do not stain.

I would definitely recommend this product. Its case makes it convenient to take out and about, its bright colours will make it easier to find in a bag. The design is different and I really like the concept of this. It will definitely help your baby with the coordination of cutlery. They're nice and compact, but not too small. Nice and easy for those little hands. They're a nice weight, not too heavy and not too light for baby. Ours did get thrown from the highchair, but they survived this! They're lovely and sturdy and for us are a definite favourite to help our baby develop on his weaning journey.

iCandy Recommends

Our reviewers were unanimous in their love for the handy travel case in which this cutlery set arrived - perfect for meals on the go or holidays. All testers could see the benefit of the ergonomic design to help encourage their children to develop their pincer grip yet the concept was more effective for those families who were more established in their weaning journey. A greater selection of colours would have been preferred but the fact the set is sturdy and dishwasher safe was a big hit.
