iCandy says:
A light and compact activity gym that can easily be packed in the car or a suitcase for entertainment on the go. Catering to all ages with both monochrome and brightly coloured toys, this activity gym is perhaps most suited to babies up to around 4 or 5 months old due to the smaller size of the play mat.
What's on the box
This baby play mat with reversible arch features a different design on each side: high-contrast black and white on one side; bright colours, letters and numbers on the other side. Brightly coloured soft playmat features friendly animal faces and numbers. Neatly folds with toys inside for easy storage and portability. The Fisher-Price playmat has 3 removable baby sensory toys that baby can play with; a self-discovery mirror, panda rattle and tactile toy.

Real World Reviews
Hear from one of our parent reviewers Olivia, who tested the Fisher-Price 2-in-1 Baby Activity Gym
"Firstly I love how bright it is. I knew my baby would love all the different colours to look at. Also it's so soft, so I knew it would be safe for him to grab. It's very light, so I could pick it up and grab it to move it from room to room whilst also carrying him - that definitely is a plus for a mum on the go when trying to do house work and entertain their child. Knowing it can lie flat also means he can lie on his back, and also do tummy time as well. This is great because it means once he's a bit bored on his back it will still entertain him on his front."

"It's fantastic. There were two main things that attracted me the most and they were the fact that it's so light and compact, as well as the fact that it is perfect for newborn and slightly older babies with the colours. Albie absolutely loved playing on this gym mat. He loved the fact that it was smaller so he could grab the toys easier. One side of the arch is black and white for newborn babies - Albie still loves the black and white sensory so I like the fact I can swap from the coloured side to the black and white side each time. I personally love the fact it's so light and small to carry. We are going on holiday in a few weeks and itโll be perfect to pack in the suitcase as itโll take up no space at all and I know Albie loves it. The fact that the arch can help Albie with โtummy timeโ as well itโs another brilliant key feature. The play gym does so much considering how compact it is."

"The first thing I noticed is that it's very lightweight. It's also incredibly easy to put together and switch between the two play positions. It did however fold over/collapse when I set it up and didn't look very sturdy. The quality isn't great - it's very flimsy - which, although makes it lightweight, it doesn't feel like it will last very long. I like the mixture of black and white bold sensory prints and the colour printed tummy time mat - it isn't padded though which is a shame. The toys give a nice selection of sensory elements."

Did the Fisher-Price 2-in-1 Flip and Fun Activity Gym keep your baby stimulated and entertained?
Great for grabbing
"He loved the mirror and the other toys that hang from the arch. He can reach them, which really kept him entertained." - Olivia
"This play gym 100% kept Albie entertained and stimulated. He loves the fact he can easily reach the toys and the fact that there's different colours on each side of the arch. I keep changing them for him and he is obsessed with just staring at them."

"The activity gym entertained Margot during the time she spent on her back. She really enjoyed handling and exploring the toys. She is now able to roll over but the gym is too small and it collapsed when she did try to roll. This meant having to reposition her regularly. Tummy time was ok but again, she needed a little bit more surface area to explore."

Would you recommend the Fisher-Price 2-in-1 Flip and Fun Activity Gym?
Yes
I would recommend this to another parent, and because it's soft and safe to play with, it would be perfect to use from very young and would also last. My baby is now four and a half months old, and now he can reach the toys to grab he loves it. Also at this age, he's quite strong, and can pull it towards him, but itโs still safe because everything is soft. I also think he would of loved it when he was newborn because of all the colours. He specifically loves the mirror as he can see himself and he often laughs and smiles which is great for them to keep them stimulated.

Yes
I would definitely recommend this play gym to other parents. My main reason would be because of how small, compact and light it is. It's so easy to take with you on days out, to your parents' house or just move it to a different room in the house. Considering what the play gym does and how cheap it is, that's another thing that I really like. I was worried when it first arrived that it looked quiet small in length and that Albie would outgrow it but actually it's a perfect size even for Albie at 4 months old.

No
I would only recommend this product to someone looking for an activity gym they can take with them on the go - it's extremely lightweight and compact and fits easily under the pushchair. It would be a great option to take on holiday as it would easily fit into your suitcase without adding weight. I wouldnโt recommend it to parents whose baby has started to roll but it's definitely suitable for a baby younger than Margot who hasn't reached the rolling age. Maybe 0-4months, which personally is too small of a window for me to buy a product like this. I wouldn't recommend it based on quality - it is very flimsy and the quality isn't as high as other products we have tried.

iCandy Recommends
Our review panel was impressed with the compact nature of this activity gym and the fact that the play arch, which features a coloured and monochrome side, could also double up as a tummy time aid. Whilst the โon-the-goโ suitability of this activity gym was a big plus, it did mean that one of our testers felt it was a little flimsy and didnโt allow for much room for her baby who loves to roll around.
