Job Description

• Coordinating all public relations activities
• Developing a PR plan including strategy, goals, budget and tactics
• Developing a media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast and online media
• Nurture a strong industry network, increase awareness and develop an enviable corporate image by developing and executing effective communication and media relations programs

Responsibilities

• Develop media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast and online media
• Coordinate all public relations activities including press launches and networking events
• Direct social media team to engage audiences across traditional and new media
• Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media
• Organise events at selected locations, trade and consumer shows
• Develop brand ambassadors, celebrity endorsements/gifting.
• Manage and develop ongoing Great Ormond Street charity sponsorship and brand relationship
• Manage media inquiries and interview requests
• Organise meetings primarily at iCandy HQ but also around the country
• Liaise, organise, train, and develop international outsourced PR/Marketing agencies
•Create content for press releases, byline articles and keynote presentations
• Monitor, analyse and communicate PR results on a monthly basis
• Evaluate opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships and advertising on an on-going basis.
• Build relationships with thought leaders to grow industry awareness
• Evaluate and implement digital Press and Media platforms to promote the brand message- working alongside Marketing and Sales objectives
• Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting clients and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them
• Designing and executing successful public relations campaigns at both a local, national and or international level
• Strong relationships with both local and national business and industry media outlets
• Company spokesperson; comfortable and skilled in both broadcast and print media interviews
