After months of anticipation, we are now only weeks away from the Raspberry starting to arrive within the great capitals around the world.
The event kick-started with a press launch to celebrate the arrival of the new Raspberry, with attendees enjoying a festive get together. The press event was held at the Bella Baby store in Twickenham London, becoming the first stop on the Raspberry Roadshow map. A typically cold December night, the room was filled with warmth courtesy of the press and VIPs who had gathered in this modern boutique store to be present at the official unveiling of the brand new iCandy Raspberry.
The original iCandy Raspberry first launched in 2014. It catered towards those parents living in urban surroundings. The Raspberry was introduced as the quick, lightweight and agile stroller of the iCandy family. Hopping on and off buses, cars and the underground, the Raspberry was designed to own the city, proving a resounding success; winning a Red Dot Design award in the process. Beautifully crafted and displaying instantly recognisable iCandy curves, the Raspberry offered parents the opportunity to mix and match their fabric colours thanks to the use of flavour packs. Forming part of the much anticipated 2018 collection, the undisputed lightweight pushchair from the iCandy range has been meticulously refined, fresh for the new generation. The tagline for the new Raspberry is Own The City, its mandate is to transform city living for parents around the world.
Following the press launch, the new iCandy Raspberry is available for pre order today on the iCandy website. A wonderfully novel idea for a pushchair launch, the iCandy Raspberry will now travel the country as part of the ‘Raspberry Roadshow’, with pitstops scheduled at a number of iCandy retailers for a weekend takeover; the full list of which will be revealed at a later date. Travelling the UK to demonstrate its effectiveness as the ultimate urban lightweight pushchair, this takeover will offer parents the chance to get up close to the latest addition in the iCandy range.
With the theme being own the city, and the colourways of the raspberry being named after iconic London locales, guests were treated to both alcoholic and non-alcoholic champagne, along with canapes and an assortment of aptly themed London cupcakes. Attendees were even greeted by a beefeater doorman, whilst an iCandy expert was on hand to demonstrate the new stroller. In the end guests enjoyed a festive season toast and left the event fully embracing the new urban stroller from iCandy.
